Day 698: Pullups and endurance

Day 698

Today’s training session went pretty well and I was able to accomplish my set targets.  Here are the exercises I did:

  • Clean pulls
  • Good mornings
  • Pullups
  • Cable parallel twists
  • Single-arm cable rows
  • Side planks + reaches

Again today (and for the next couple of weeks), I am doing low-rep sets, so I can load with more weight.  This was also the first time I was able to complete the recommended number of pullups (4 sets of 6) as I still have difficulty with completing the sets if I try to do sets of 10 (such as 4X10 in the previous phase), but can do sets without much difficulty up to 6 reps.  I’ll have to develop more endurance on this particular foundation exercise.
