I spent the day driving around the area south of Adelaide called the Fleurieu Peninsula with some friends who were in town from Brisbane. The weather forecast was for a very hot and clear day (up to 38 deg C), but it turned out to be overcast but still quite warm and very windy most of the day. However, we did see some interesting sites along the way, including a wind farm near Cape Jervis (the jump-off point for the ferry to Kangaroo Island) and Victor Harbor, which is connected to Granite Island by an antique horse-drawn tram. We found out the there were supposed to be little fairy penguins on Granite Island, but they only appear at dusk, so I had to content myself with some granite ones. On the way to and from there we passed through a variety of pastoral landscapes, including many vineyards in an area called McLaren Vale. All in all a relaxing day out with good friends.
I didn’t have any planned training today, but I was able to take in five balanced meals spread out more or less evenly throughout the day.
Hope you are all enjoying your weekends!
