Metabolic Surge: Round 3, Phase 2, Day 1
Hi there Shredders! I was pleasantly surprised when I woke up this morning and found out that Adam Waters had featured my four-week milestone on his blog. It definitely gave my day a great start!
Today was the third all-protein nutrition day of the Metabolic Surge program. As has been my routine now, I prepared my meals at work the night before, but this time, I even prepared breakfast ahead of time. This was because I had an earlier than usual start at the office, since I was conducting training sessions the whole day. I was mostly able to stick with my meal plan, but for the third meal, I got delayed (due to overruning the schedule). What’s more, I had packed a bigger meal than I was used to. This went into my advantage in the end, as again my next training session overran its slot. At the time I was originally due to eat, I was still quite full. However, by the time the training finished, I was just about ready to eat.
By the way, if you’re doing Metabolic Surge, make sure you always have water with you as you will tend to get thirsty much more quickly.
Training wise, I did HIIT (near-maximal intervals) by going running again along my favorite riverside path. I was able to push a bit more overall this time compared to the last time I did this particular training mode, so I am quite happy with how it went. When I got back to my apartment, I then proceeded to do my Flatten Your Abs training.
